to Nightingale Nursery

We are a small, family owned and run group of 2 day nurseries based in the East Midlands.

We first opened the doors of our Sawley nursery in April 1997 and our Castle Donington nursery in 2013. Since then we have been serving families in our local community.

​

We follow a key principle of “play with a purpose”. This has been our philosophy since we opened nearly 30 years ago, and still stands strong today.

​

We provide a nurturing and homely environment for our children. We believe that learning should be fun and exciting and children’s time at nursery should be inspiring. At the end of their time with us, we want our children to leave feeling confident in their own abilities and ready to tackle anything. We want them to move onto their next adventure equipped with the skills they need to allow them to continue to grow and succeed.

We have a deeply embedded culture of tolerance. We promote acceptance and understanding of all others around us. This attitude is reflected in our inclusive practice, which sees us supporting, caring for and nurturing all children, families and communities.

We encourage all our children to tackle challenges and approach life with a “can do” attitude. The Early Years is crucial in determining the attitude to learning that your child takes with them throughout their educational journey, and beyond. We know that if we get it right at nursery, we set children up for success.​

Our Leaders and Managers support practitioners to deliver our high quality and engaging curriculum through continued staff development, professional conversations and embedded reflective practice. In supporting practitioners to deliver our carefully considered curriculum which is based upon what we know about our children, we extend thier learning and inspire a lifelong love of learning and discovery.
