Healthy meals and nutrition
Our in-house chefs prepare fresh, nutritious meals designed to fuel your child's day.
Following the Government’s nutritional guidance for the Early Years, we ensure every plate is balanced, healthy, and delicious.

-
Social Learning: We make mealtimes into social events, helping children to develop independence and a positive relationship with food. When appropriate, your child will be encouraged to try new foods, use their cutlery properly and display good table manners. We employ “Self- service”, for those children who are able to do so. This promotes your child’s independence and also gives them a sense of control over what they are eating. Staff sit with the children during meal times and have calm, relaxed discussions with the children about the food they are eating and the importance of Healthy Eating.
-
Dietary Expertise: We are fully equipped to manage allergies and dietary preferences. Before your child starts nursery, we ask you for information regarding dietary requirements, allergies, likes/ dislikes, weaning, bottles etc. Throughout your child's time at nursery and through regular "catch-ups" with your Key Person, we ensure our kitchen is always up to date with your child's specific needs. Your child will always be offered an alternative if they do not like what is being served.
-
Weaning Support: We work in partnership with parents during the weaning process to ensure a smooth, consistent transition onto solid foods.
