Safeguarding commitment

 

We are commited to safeguarding all children, not just those who attend our nurseries.

Safeguarding is of the highest importance. Leaders and managers establish a culture in which staff, children, parents and others feel comfortable raising and discussing any concerns that relate to safeguarding children and feel confident that appropriate action will be taken.

 

We have robust safeguarding procedures and the associated policies are clear, accessible, in line with local and national expectations and reflected in the setting’s practice.

 

Safeguarding is everybody's responsibility. We guide our practitioners to treat safeguarding with an attitude of "it could be happening to our children", and to understand that no concern is too small or too trivial to report.

We work with our team to ensure that policies and procedures are understood, are applied and have a positive impact on children.

 

We establish purposeful and appropriate links with outside agencies to support the setting’s safeguarding procedures and practice.

We share information with the local authority and support the authority effectively with any statutory assessments in relation to children’s social care needs. 

 

We work collaboratively with social workers and other professionals, as appropriate, to provide effective multi-agency planning and support for children who are known, or previously known, to children’s social care.
