Nightingale Nursery Terms and Conditions

1. Age of admittance is from birth to 8 years. A birth certificate, passport or red medical book is

required to be seen by a manager on admission.

2. Nightingale Nursery is open from 7.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday, our standard nursery day is

8am-5.30pm. Breakfast is served until 8.45am.

3. Please collect your child on time and no later than 6pm. After your child’s finish time we will charge

£1.00 per minute. In exceptional circumstances please contact the nursery.

​

4. Fees are payable a month in advance, standing order is preferred and should be paid on the due

date. A 5% charge will be added to late payments. Returned cheques will be subject to a handling fee.

​

5. Occasional day absence from Nightingale Nursery and annual holidays are to be paid for, to enable

us to keep your child’s place.

​

6. A £30 non refundable administration fee is due on registration.

​

7. A deposit of £100 is required on registration, to be deducted from your final month’s payment.

Your child’s place will only be held open for four weeks after the original agreed start date, after

this, the deposit will be lost and the place will be offered to another child on the waiting list. The

deposit will not be refunded if you decide you no longer want the nursery place.

8. Nightingale Nursery will be closed on Bank Holidays, when fees are payable. We are closed at

Christmas for 1 week and do not charge for this closure week.

9. One month’s notice is required should a place no longer be required. Two weeks’ notice is required

for a reduction in sessions.

10. If your child is attending Grant Funding hours only, you must ensure that your child attends their

full allocated weekly hours, or you will be liable to repay unused hours.

​

11. We will review the progress and suitability of a nursery placement within the initial 6 weeks of

attendance. If there are health, safety or welfare concerns we reserve the right to retract our

offer of a place at nursery.

​

12. We request parents supply a change of clothes and an ample supply of nappies. If a child is being

potty trained, please supply extra pants and socks in case of accidents.

​

13. All clothes, shoes and coats should be labelled.

​

14. Please leave all valuables at home as we can take no responsibility for loss or damage. If your child

has a special toy/blanket we are very happy for that to be brought to nursery, but please ensure it

is taken home each day.

​

15. If you are not at your usual place of work please ensure the Nursery Staff are aware of your

location, contact number, or the person nominated to be contacted in an emergency. If you change

your telephone number, email address or home address, please ensure Nursery Staff have these up

to date details.

​

16. Minor medical matters can be dealt with by staff members holding a First Aid Certificate, if

necessary we can contact your doctor or seek hospital care in an emergency. Parents may supply

medication for their child but they must complete and sign the relevant medication form for each

individual medication. Two members of staff will administer as instructed.

​

17. Please be aware that photographs & videos may be used within the nursery, to complement displays

and to gather evidence for Ofsted inspections, as well as to update our parent app, Blossom. If you

do not wish your child to be filmed or to have their photograph taken while at nursery, please

inform a member of staff.

​

18. We are required to pass on your child’s development records to their next setting eg. school.
