Our Philosophy
We are a small, family owned and run group of 2 day nurseries based in the East Midlands.

We first opened the doors of our Sawley nursery in 1997 and our Castle Donington nursery in 2013. Since then we have been serving families in our local community.

We follow a key principle of “play with a purpose”.
This has been our philosophy since we opened nearly 30 years ago, and still stands strong today.

We aim to provide all children with the best start, we know just how important the Early Years are.
Our leaders and practitioners have the knowledge and strategies to reduce barriers and make adaptations to support all of our children to achieve their full potential.

We believe that learning should be fun and exciting, and that children should come away from our setting confident in their own abilities and with strong foundations which allow then to access future learning opportunities.
We aim to create inspiring and engaging learning environments where children can flourish, and develop confidence and skills to last them a life-time.

Parental and community engagement
We work closely with our parents and carer’s. We know that by working in partnership with one another, we can create the best education and care for our children.
We operate key person arrangements and share care practices and routines. This ensures that warm, positive relationships are effective in promoting children’s feelings of security and character development.

We use a variety of methods to communciate with our families. You can contact us via our nursery phone, whatsapp phone, through the app or by simply speaking to a member of staff at collection or drop off. Practitioners share information with parents and other agencies about children’s needs and progress, including the progress check at age 2, and support parents to extend their children’s learning at home. We have a designated Positive Behaviour Officer who offers support to our families and children

We are able to clearly communciate expectations about behaviour to parents/ carers and forge partnerships with them and other agencies. Our leaders work with other settings and organisations to develop early years practice that improves the quality and safety of education and care for all children

Our Team
We employ a team of highly skilled and qualified practitioners who have been carefully selected because of their kindness and commitment and dedication to our children.
We promote the on- going professsional development of our team through regular training and supervisions. Supervisions provide our practitioners with support, coaching, and training which in turn, promotes the interests of children.
Through regular upskilling and investment into staff training, we ensure the children who come to our nurseries recieve the high quality care and education they deserve.
Our nurseries are owned, led and managed by highly qualified leaders and managers who hold various childcare qualifications such as Masters degrees, PGCE's and Undergraduate Degrees. We believe modelling ambition and high aspirations contributes to the high number of practitioners who have gone on to, and are in the process of completing further education qualifications within our nurseries.
The supportive and family environment within our nurseries also contributes to the high number of long standing staff members we have- some of whom have been with us since we opened nearly 30 years ago, and some of whom came to nursery as children themselves!
